Well, as the name suggests, it’s all about “Attracting” people to you.
Previously we were all told that everyone is a potential buyer. If you went to party make sure you took some business cards. Don’t enjoy yourself, just spend the whole time hassling people who don’t really care. It simply isn’t true. The sooner you realise the happier your life will be.
Wouldn’t you be better off only approaching people who were actually looking for a business or are interested in making a change in their lives? What if these people approached you first?
Using Attraction Marketing methods, you place yourself around the web so that these people can discover YOU.
Your goal should be to become an expert in your chosen field. So that when people find you, they begin to trust and respect you because they have benefited from the information you have given them. If they have also been looking for a way to gain financial, time or personal freedom then they will approach you for help on that too because they believe you can also help them in this area.
They then contact YOU.
This will put you in a far greater position than if you contacted them first.
If you get contacted by someone else you are always going to be in a position of more authority. This completely changes the way you have to work. You no longer have to fight the uphill struggle of convincing someone how good your company / product is. You are now interviewing people to see if they are good enough for you.
Can you see the benefits of using this approach?
The way you do this is by providing Good Content.
This is where a lot of people get it wrong. It is not about putting out advertising and sales pitches everywhere you can. That makes you the person making first contact, putting you in the weaker position. You need to put Good stuff, Great stuff, out on the web for people to find that will actually enrich their lives.
Some of you are now thinking that there is nothing you are an expert at.
You’re wrong.
I know that there is something that you know more about that your family and friends. This is an area you are an expert in and it is what you will start with. Even if it’s “Simple tips on how to keep your house clean when you have kids.”
As you move along you will learn more and be able to provide better and more targeted content.
Now, go brew yourself a cup of tea, find somewhere quiet, get a blank piece of paper and a pen and start listing all the things you can share with the world.
