The success of any business venture boils down to using timeless principles of marketing. A marketer has only three basic goals.

1. Create a constant flow of customers 2. Increase the orders amount 3. Increase the constant order flow

That’s all I have for you. Thanks… :0) I AM JUST KIDDING!

Folks, if you can master these three basic fundamentals, I don’t care what kind of business you have, it will blossom. If you are selling pen and pencil sets, you will be a success if you know how these basic principles work.

The internet and the methods that are used to market through the internet have changed, but these three fundamentals will be always with us. This is not just for the MLM business world. A women from Canada, who has a brick and mortar business, called me and wanted to learn how to use the internet to market her business. This circles all businesses.

Suppose you had a product or service that you wanted to market. You buy a list of some targeted prospects. Send out direct mailers to these prospects. Pay for postage and printing and the list you had to buy. It will probably cost you around $5000.00 and the response rate for something like this is around one half of one percent. You might get fifty customers at $100.00 a piece. You just break even.

How about calling all your family and friends and having a meeting over at your house. Do a demonstration of your products…We all know where that will end up. Zero! Lets do this again but this time we will use the internet as our marketing vehicle. We run everything through a marketing system that costs you about $500.00. Figure the same results as before. Fifty orders at $100.00 dollar each. Your income is still the same, $5000.00 but take a look at your marketing expense. Because it’s only around $500.00 you just made a profit of $4500.00.

The biggest hurdle is where do you get your leads? Can you gather about 10,000 people from your inner circle of family and friends? You could hire a company to make all the calls for you and get you a list of interested clients. There are companies that do that and sell those lists to you and everyone else. If you have ever bought leads from one of these companies before, you know what I mean. How many of those leads panned out into paying customers?

What is you had a system that could generate a list for you? These are people who are really interested in what you are doing. It’s not free. It will cost you a whole whopping…..ready….about 30 to 50 cents a lead. This is your list that you own. These people got in touch with you. They are interested in you. You didn’t have to have a meeting or run around chasing everyone. This is called internet marketing. This is how we feed our families.

Albert Einstein gave the definition for insanity as, “doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.” What if your family depends on your success? That is true for many of us. In 1519, against over-whelming odds, Hernan Cortes conquered Mexico. His band of 400 troops faced a huge army of tens of thousands of soldiers. He men began to drop their arms and quit. To prevent their escape, Cortes ordered the sinking of all but one of his eleven ships. Cortes called his men together and simply said, ” conquer or die.” There were no other options.

Are you still chasing all your friends and family around? Having meetings at your house hoping someone will be interested in what you have? Are you filling Einsteins theory of insanity? Have you hit that line of conquer or die for you?
