We as network marketers are running from pillar to post to get prospects join our primary business opportunity. The more we run after them the more the prospects avoid us. 1) Is he a leader or has leadership qualities – Is he a leader or does he have it in himself to be a leader. Most of the people are genetically programmed to follow leaders. It is only be demonstrating leadership one can have people to follow one. People are not born leaders but they become by choice by adding value to themselves and giving unselfishly back to society in the form of a skill, new learnings etc. And naturally money also follows them.

2) Is he full of passion – A person without passion is literally half dead. And you would not like to give your valuable time to a person who does not have passion in his life and who is just trying to make both ends meet because he has to. A person with passion can do wonders for yourself and you should be having atleast 5 to 7 passionate people in your team.

3) Does he have the never giving up habit – This is the biggest quality of a successful person. It is always easy to quit but most of the successful people never give up and make their way into the top one percent earner group. If you are not showing any signs of brilliance early on the key is to just hang in there because most people quit when there are just two steps more to make.

4) Does he not have ‘excusitis’- Does he takes responsibility for his own actions and does not blames or hold others responsible for his own failures and defeats. He should not suffer from excusitis either and that is the habit of making excuses. You would never ever want a person in your team who has the habit of making excuses or his suffering from ‘excusitis’ in a lighter vein.

5) Is he open to learning new things – That is the most important aspect of leadership. One should learn new things to be more valuable to others and help others find solution to their problems. It is only by a constant and never ending improve ment that one is able to generate value for others.

When you start selecting and qualifying your prospects then you will not only recruit the right people for your business but you will also save your precious time spent on training the not so suitable ones. When a network marketer starts his marketing campaign or is looking forward to build his business then he has to deal with one thing and that is cold calling his prospects. It is this fear that can paralyse him because just like us conciously or unconciously he also is afraid of rejection. One simple method is to feel the fear and start doing it. 1.) Give the name of the person who referred the lead – This is the first step to reduce your chances of rejection. Now Mr Dilts should be either a friend or an acquaintance of Mr Robbins and a mere mentioning the name of Mr Dilts would help Mr Robbins lower his guards and listen to you.

2.) Recruit only existing network marketers – This is a very simple but powerful tip. If you are the president of your newly formed organization then who would you go for? Would you go for freshers or experienced persons. The chances are you would like to go for experienced people. The great thing about this is that they would be more receptive to your calls as you are from the same industry and you don’t have to train them just get them familiar with your company’s compensation plans and procedures. “Hurrah”, get them going.

3.) Make a list of insurance agents, telecallers, salesmen – This is the target market you should look for. Focusing on this target market would weed out the neccessary people you don’t require in your business. The best part about this is that they are already trained in what they are required to do and that is, “How to market any business”. The chances of success are way much higher with this market. As they are already filtered and it is just like selling meat to a meat eater.
