Are you a newbie in the world of Internet network marketing business? If you’re looking to build a successful company, you need to be ready to spend a lot of time in these early stages making it work.
How much time? Statistically, it could take up to a year before you start seeing results.
But you can get to cash-flow positive a lot faster (like, within the first three months) if you are:
1) ready to put in the time;
2) self-disciplined (so that you can set a schedule and stick to it); and
3) properly trained.
This last point is key, but in reality, the majority of Internet network marketing business owners have zero marketing training. That’s one big reason why they throw in the towel within the first few months of going into business.
Training is one way to avoid failure, but the sheer amount of information available on the subject of marketing online can be overwhelming for the inexperienced business owner.
What often happens here is that the earnest new marketer will take little nuggets of training from source after source and then piece together something that resembles a strategy, only to find pretty early in that their efforts aren’t working.
Does this sound familiar?
If so, don’t get discouraged. Because the fact that you’re here reading this means that you’ve taken one extra step that the majority of new business owners don’t: You’ve seen what doesn’t work, and have decided to keep looking until you find what does.
Let’s get started.
As is evident in the name, Internet network marketing business consists of four very important factors:
Internet: This is a business that can be run completely online. Which means you have the ability to harness the power and reach of the Internet to let the world know what it is that you do.
Network: I’m not just talking about your Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter networks. Your online reach also includes your email list, Internet forums, etc., How you conduct yourself in the networks is important because it’s here that you’ll be building relationships with future clients.
Marketing: If you’re going to be successful in business online (or off, for that matter), you need to know how to market yourself and your services. That’s a given.
Business: I don’t know why, but all too often, work from home business owners sometimes seem to forget that they are actually running a business. That means that, just like every other successful company out there, you need systems, a focus, and a strategy in place if you’re going to be successful as well.
Where does that leave you and your new business?
If you haven’t done so already, I suggest that you find an online training system that:
1) provides you with a funded proposal (so that you can make money even if prospects don’t join your downline);
2) offers online audio and video training in every area of online marketing (including article marketing, PPC, email marketing, etc., etc.) so that you can choose and follow an approach that interests you; and
3) provides affiliate marketing programs that will also help make you some money upfront.
I recommend that you check out MLSP, or My Lead System Pro. Why? A couple of reasons. First, it meets all of the above criteria. And second (and more importantly), our team (the people that we joined under) provides a ton of extra training that goes beyond even what the folks at MLSP do. That gives us an extra edge that we are able to pass on down to any new team members that join under us.
If you do join MLSP, I suggest you expect to spend about two weeks getting your system set up and learning the ropes. You might move through it faster than we did, but just in case, you want to be prepared.
Once you’ve completed your MLSP system set up, it’s time to get started. Work your plan, and stick with it for at least three to six months.
If you need it (and you will), align yourself with a mentor who will challenge you when you’re not putting in 100 percent, hold your feet to the fire when you feel like giving up, and congratulate you as you make progress.
Give your business plenty of time to grow, give it everything you’ve got, and then share what you’ve learned to the next person in line. Because this business works best when it’s built on cooperation (not competition) and passing on what you know will contribute to your success in ways you can’t even begin to fathom.
