If you think that The Numis Network is a pyramid then you are right. Let’s be honest. Why deny it?

Here is the “catch” you need to know: Every big & small corporation and every government organization has an organizational chart shaped like a triangle. A triangle represents a pyramid. Think about it!

Of course, you don’t need to worry about this unique mlm company being a pyramid. It is not a pyramid scheme. There is a big difference. With the type of pyramid that Numis has you benefit greatly from the teamwork of your team. With a pyramid scheme many people lose money and Bernie Madoff goes to jail. Or maybe someone else goes to jail. You can rest assured there is nothing illegal or unethical with this numismatic coin company!

Here is the good news: this company is not a pyramid scheme. This multi-level marketing company was created by leaders who have consulted and helped with the start-up of over 400 multi-level marketing companies in the last decade. Our leaders know what works and what doesn’t work. Our leaders know what is legal and what is illegal. Our leaders know what is ethical and what in unethical. The expertise used in starting up over 400 multi-level marketing companies in 10 years have set this Numismatic Silver and Gold company up for pure success.

Just to re-cap, it is good that this company is a pyramid and it is good that it is not a pyramid scheme! But maybe you have heard that all MLM companies are shut down at some point?

Not true! Most MLM companies do not get shut down. Like any other industry, some multi-level marketing companies fail because of poor management, products or compensations plans. But very few are actually shut down by the government.

Here in the United States we have been experiencing a terrible economic situation. Twenty of our largest corporations have been shut down. Our friends and loved ones have lost jobs. We have had to come to realize that that is no stability in corporate America. More corporations have been shut down than multi-level marketing companies have been shut down!

Remember that the company is the brain-child of experts who have spent the last 10 years assisting over 400 multi-level marketing companies. With that kind of expertise on your side you should feel very confident about the direction of this numismatic coin company.

The bottom line is this: The Numis Network is not a pyramid scheme and is in no danger of being shut down. Our founders are experts and reps at The Numis Network are greatly benefiting from this expertise each and every day. If you are in search of a network marketing company with the strongest leadership in the industry then you should check out The Numis Network.

As such, more and more people are checking the possibilities of starting their own business to make extra-income. Most of these part-time businesses are started and operated from the comfort and privacy of the home.

Most of these folks are making the extra money they need. Some have astutely and diligently built these additional income enterprises into full-time, very lucrative businesses. Others are just staying afloat, having fun, and enjoying life as never before. The important thing is that they are doing something rather than looking for the government to give them a handout; they are boosting their lot in life, and you can do it, too!

The first thing you should do is define your market and identify your potential customers. This is called market research, which you will need for creating a thorough business plan. The more detailed your plan, the easier it will be for you to reach success. Too often, folks start home-based businesses without adding up the costs and requirements. A business plan helps you lay it all out on paper prior to you taking on the challenge, and the clearer you can “see” everything before you start, the better your chances for success.

The next step is to put your plan in action and start making money.

Let me preface this article by being entirely open and honest.

I am not an MLM “Golden Boy”. I’m not a network marketing “Superstar”.

At least not yet. ;-)

I am in the process of building a network marketing business and I believe that in the next 1-3 years, I’ll never have to worry about money again.

This is not to say I’ll drive a new Jaguar every year or that a Hollywood producer will want to use my dream mansion to film movies. I DO believe I’ll have more than enough to pay my bills, enjoy my life, friends, and hobbies, and I’ll be able to pay for three teenagers college tuition.

One of the things that turns lots of people off about network marketing is that so many sponsors make it sound like a GRQ, a Get Rich Quick opportunity. The truth of the matter is that NOT EVERYONE ASPIRES TO BEING RICH. Why don’t more people understand that? (Don’t get me wrong. I LIKE material goods. I LIKE “toys”. But being rich in and of itself isn’t the most important thing to me.).

I believe that most people who want to enjoy a healthy residual income from MLM are far less money motivated than is commonly thought. It would be wise for those who are serious about building an MLM business to consider the possibility that

…most people are content to make an extra $1,000-$5,000 per month because they can’t imagine making $10,000 to $50,000 per month.

…most folks immediately dismiss salesmen and hucksters who promise the world. They’re don’t LIKE people who are willing to climb and claw their way to the top, regardless of the cost.

…even though America was built by small businesses, they need time to think of themselves as business owners. 78% of all MLMers have always been employees and the responsibilities of owning a business can seem intimidating.

I recently attended an opportunity meeting that made me cringe. It was truly a nightmare of lies. The presenter was a lying idiot who was hell-bent on convincing the prospects they could easily make $60,000 per month in his company. (this dude has never made over $600 per MONTH in MLM!) He did everything his sponsor told hm to do–draw circles, smile real big, use all the right words–and some of these poor folks ready to sign up. The rest of them were wondering where the bathroom was and who was going to win America’s Got Talent.

I didn’t stay around ’til the end because the outcome was predictable. 90% of the audience would go home, eat dinner, and talk about the B.S. Artist they’d been subject to by their friend. 10% of them would sign up on the spot. Of that 10%, 90% will be out of the business within 6 months. It happens every night of the week, all over America.

Wouldn’t it be refreshing to hear someone tell the TRUTH at opportunity meetings? Wouldn’t it be great to hear someone say,

“you’re not going to make much money for three to six months. whatever money you make, you’re going to reinvest back into your business. It will be work hard and you’ll have to do things that are outside of your comfort zone. You can take it at your own pace and I’ll be here help you whenever you need me. If you follow my proven plan, you can create a full-time income in six to eighteen months and you won’t have to worry about money again.”

That’s what I’d tell you if you were interested in my business-building system.

Like any other business, success in MLM isn’t easy. If it was, everyone would do it.

A drawback of MLM businesses is that they cost very little to join. Once you’ve heard the extravagant claims of so-called top earners, you might be tempted to gamble a few bucks to “see if it works out. My advice is…DON’T. Send the money to Haiti or give it to your church instead. Find out what you’re getting into BEFORE you sign on the dotted line. You’ll be doing yourself–and your sponsor–a favor.

MLM is one of the few ways “average” people can become financially independent, but it’s not without it’s risks. You could invest months or years of your time, only to find out that your company has filed for bankruptcy. Choose wisely. Do your research. If you’re new to sales or recruiting, make sure the company has some system in place to help you master the required skills. You shouldn’t have to reinvent the wheel!

You probably know someone who is involved with a direct sales company – think Avon, Tupperware and Mary Kay Cosmetics, Fuller Brush or Watkins are the old standbys. Some of these companies have been around for over 100 years! Jusuru and Mia Bella Candles are the new kids on the block. Each individual company has its own product line, pay plan, training and overall culture or feel. Before you join any direct sales company, it is extremely important to do some research on the different companies.

Benefits of Direct Sales

Inexpensive to get started. When you compare the cost of starting your own brick-and-mortar business or an e-commerce store with joining a direct sales company, you will see that the cost of becoming an independent consultant is far less expensive and less risky. The majority of companies price their starter kits under $200. Some even let you give it a try before you have to pay anything. The kits come with catalogs, order forms and some product samples. You will need a space in your home to set up your office. Check with your town to make sure you do not need a business license. As you gain clients, you will need to invest in some software to manage and keep track of your clientele, as well as software to keep your books organized. Online content management programs start at $15 per month and can go as high as $250 for software you install on your own computer.

You control your income. Direct sales consultants earn commission on each item sold. So, at least in theory, your earning potential is unlimited. To get a good idea of potential earnings, make sure you understand your company’s compensation plan completely. Some of them can be more than a little tricky to figure out. Make sure you ask plenty of questions and are clear about the compensation plan before signing on the dotted line.

Flexible schedule. Having a flexible schedule is a double-edge sword. On one hand, you can schedule your work time around family responsibilities; however, it is very easy to make your schedule so flexible that you never actually get around to working. It is very important to make your work time a part of your daily routine. And stick to it.

Drawbacks of Direct Sales

Paid commission. If you work hard, keep updated on the latest sales methods and are disciplined, your business will grow and you will gradually build yourself a nice nest egg. On the other hand, if you work your business like a hobby, expect no more than a hobby income.

You need an advertising budget. Free advertising is great, but you will also need a small amount of money to keep your business in the public’s view consistently. Otherwise, they will forget about you.

The odds are that you will fail. A nasty little fact that the sponsors will not tell you is that most consultants crash and burn before the first 90 days are up. That is to say 95% fail; only 5% succeed. Promise yourself that you will commit to a year of working your business before you quit. Otherwise, it really does not make sense to even begin.

Necessary Skills

People skills. You must be able to talk with other people in order to make sales. Sometimes this means cold calling. Sometimes this means talking to friends. You will hear “not interested” many more times than you will hear “I’d like to buy some…” Can you talk to people without pressuring them?

Organization. An organized person gets more work done each day simply because he or she does not spend time hunting for phone numbers, sorting through a hundred sticky notes and shuffling through a stack of papers looking for something. Keeping yourself financially organized throughout the year definitely pays off when tax time rolls around.

Self-discipline. You must be able to work alone. You must be able to motivate yourself to meet your deadlines, make your calls and get your advertising out by the deadlines you set.

Commitment/Patience. As mentioned earlier, 95% of direct sales consultants leave within 90 days of signing up with a company. This is hardly enough time to get your feet wet. Be patient and diligent. Give your business at least a year to get established.

How to Choose a Company

How long has the business been operating? You want to get involved with a company that has been around at least two years. Most direct sales start-ups do not make it that long. The ones that do have a better chance of being around five or 10 years from now.

Can you afford the starter kit? If you cannot afford the starter kit for one company and there are no short-term payment plans and the company is not set up for consultants to earn the kit, you have three choices. First, you could save up to buy your kit. Second, you could borrow the money from a family member or friend. Third, you could put the kit on your credit card. Fourth, you could look around for another company that you can afford. Choice one and choice four are the best options. Avoid taking out a loan or charging your kit.

What is the monthly quota? Personally, I do not like to work with companies who insist that I purchase $100 worth of wonder juice each month. Before you sign up with any company, be clear on how much (if any) you are required to purchase each month.

Check review of the company. Visit some forums geared to network marketers. Read what others have said about working with a particular company. Hopefully, most of the comments will be positive. If not, move on.

You have a lot of research ahead of you before you sign on as a consultant with a direct sales company. This is a time for you to be thorough, cautious and to apply your critical thinking skills. It is very, very easy to get caught up in making an emotional decision. The prizes, the potential earnings and the promise of easy sales (“the product practically sells itself”) can override your sensibilities. If direct sales is appealing to you, take the time to do your research and make decisions that will benefit you and your family in the long term; you do not have to rush. Any direct sales company worth associating yourself with will understand that and encourage you to join when you are ready, not before.

Have you ever tried Watkins? If not, you are definitely missing out on a good thing. The double-strength vanilla and cinnamon are two best-selling favorites.
