So lets see. I travel to exotic destinations at a great discount. I brag about to friends who also love to travel and would love to save big, and I get paid? Sounds amazing. Where do I sign, right? Well, at first glance this is a slam dunk considering the low start up cost and all, but here’s where it gets hairy. 97% of people who get into a World Ventures biz for the residual income will struggle and quit within the year. Many won’t make it past 90 days. Those are the historical odds you’re dealing with in the MLM home based business industry. But I have a way to fix that.

You see, here’s the thing you need to keep in mind. Historically, network marketing distributors will struggle to recruit just 2-3 prospects in their careers. Looking at WorldVentures binary compensation model, that’s not going to get it done. While you do get paid as you refer new members to WorldVentures, you only qualify for residual when you reach a 90/90 structure within the binary. That means 90 active members or reps in each leg. And while the product offer is really good, you’re circle of influence better be significantly bigger than 180 friends and family members. Or, you can learn how to generate all the warm prospects you want by marketing correctly using the internet.

1 – Product – Any good MLM company will have a product that will stand alone without network marketing. This product should be fairly priced and one that has value.

2 – Perfect timing! Many new companies will get new reps on the basis of being “ground floor”. The problem with this is that most companies won’t make it past 1-2 years. If you can find a company that has past that 2 year mark then you are on track with a company that has proven itself and still has tons of market share available.

3 – Compensation Plan – Most top mlm companies work with a binary compensation plan. Be very wary of compensation plans that have a one-time fee and promise a big return when you “cycle” out of a level. Do your due diligence and you will see that most top mlm’s use a binary plan.

4 – How big is the industry? There are so many different network marketing companies popping up every day. Nutrition, make-up, coffee, gold/silver, water filtration, telecommunication, travel, etc. Make sure the industry you choose is expanding not retracting. How many competing MLM companies are out there offering the same type of product?

5 – Training – Most people will fail in network marketing because they don’t get the proper training. Make sure that whichever mlm company you choose has a great training system in place. Also, make sure that you can align yourself with someone that can teach you both off-line and on-line marketing. Most MLM’s will fall short in teaching you how to market on-line.

These are the top 5 things to look for in a great MLM opportunity. The biggest factor not mentioned above is passion. Find something you are passionate about, lock arms with a company that has what you want, follow the successful people in your company and dis-regard the dream stealers!

I have studied many Network Marketing companies and I have found something very interesting. The first thing I wanted to find out is: Are travel MLMs scams? My first impression was yes they were, but if experience has taught me anything it is things are not always what they appear to be in this industry. My other experiences with Network Marketing companies had conditioned me to believe that there has to be a physical product that a potential customer can hold, taste or even smell. As I dug, I found that if there is an actual travel product then it could produce something to hold, taste and smell. So, providing it’s legitimacy, a travel MLM would be very powerful indeed. They could be the best network marketing companies. The more I dug the more I started seeing one company more than others, WorldVentures. Let me tell you what I found.

First of all, there are a few important questions I ask to determine if a company is legit. Is the company old enough? Is it young enough? Is it a US based company? Has the company expanded worldwide? What is their annual revenue? Are they in debt? And a few more.

So here are WorldVentures’ answers. The company is almost 5 years old. Which is a perfect age, both for its legitimacy and its longevity. They are based in Texas, USA. They have expanded to 12 other countries. They are completely debt free. They have made well over 300 million dollars since their inception. I really couldn’t find anything wrong with this company. Basically, according to my criteria, not only is this company a legitimate company it could be the best MLM company.

I also found out that they have been named to the “Global 100″ by Direct Selling News. Which means they are one of the 100 largest direct selling companies in the world. I would call this a clue!

I also took a peek at the executive team. I was blown away. The founders and the top executives are all very well known in the industries of travel and network marketing. Mike Azcue and Wayne Nugent founded the company and they have both built massive teams in MLM in the past. Mike Azcue now carries the title of CEO while Wayne Nugent is the Chief Visionary Officer. One thing I couldn’t believe was that Dan Stammen (of Pre-Paid Legal fame) sold his business and is now the head of all marketing for WorldVentures. Last but certainly not least is none other than Marc Accetta is their director of training. He took the only network marketing company ever to the #1 spot on the Inc 500 list.

Another thing I thought it was important to ask was: Is there money to be made in a travel mlm? What I found was that over half of all MLMs are in the health and wellness industry, while there are only a very small handful of companies in the travel industry. What that means is, is that there are less companies fighting over the same piece of the pie. Crazy thing is, the travel industry is the largest in the world. So lets do the math. Largest Industry, plus less companies, equals more money for everybody.

The last little bit of investigating I did was on their two products. The first is a Travel web site called Rovia. It is performing very well in direct competition with the big boys (Expedia, Travelocity, etc.). The second product is a vacation club called DreamTrips. This is their flagship product. Their are to many details to get into, but it is safe to say that this product is the reason they are doing so well.

Choosing a travel MLM like WorldVentures was done after weighing many different factors and key elements that just made sense. Is it the best MLM in the travel industry?

5 ~ A proven Training program. The training is lead by industry expert Marc Accetta who’s training system help take another mlm to #1 on the INC500 list.

6 ~ Excellent Compensation plan. They use a binary system which most top successful mlm’s use today. This is a 2 team structure where other reps can be placed on your team from your upline. It’s conducive to building fast and teamwork.
